Teach for America is a nonprofit organization that recruits young or early career teachers to teach in low-income communities. Since 1989, Teach for America has placed over 28,000 aspiring teachers in high-need areas.
Outsource Consultants helped Teach for America renovate three floors by providing consultation, securing Landmark approval and filing a multitude of approvals and permits in phases.
The plans for the office included two places of assembly for each floor with an increase in occupancy load. Outsource formulated a compromise to allow the places of assembly to remain while complying with building code that regulates travel distance to egress.
