New York University purchased a land lot in Greenwich Village’s Historic District for their new Center for Academic and Spiritual Life. Conceived by architect Richard Mutter, the ambitious design is essentially two buildings. Outsource filed the project in two phases, allowing construction to proceed while a BSA permit was secured.

Outsource assisted in finding compliance solutions for several complications in the project. The primary issue was the size of the building in the original plans dominated the entire view northward through the Washington Square Arch. Outsource aided in a redesign for a narrower, code compliant building acceptable to City Planning and the Sliver Law. The Center includes six public assembly spaces. Outsource consulted on the project throughout, filed several applications for both buildings and pulled multiple permits.
