A major gut renovation project was initiated at this location after Bloomberg L.P., financial software and multimedia company, acquired additional office space for its New York presence.
Located in the heart of Midtown, this central Bloomberg location houses thousands of employees across 23 floors.
The process was broken down into eight phases, allowing Bloomberg L.P. to inhabit one floor at a time while work continued. Each floor underwent an interior demolition to make way for construction. The renovation necessitated new infrastructure, complete with a cooling tower and battery room. Outsource Consultants collaborated on the project by providing code consultation, filing multiple applications and pulling all permits. Outsource was also able to secure a compliance solution for the building’s unique seven-floor open staircase.
